FAQs

Q?How do I book my wedding?
A.

Complete the form in the contact us section to check availability. You will receive a prompt phone response within 24 hours, or less with a text contact number to use whenever you need. If we are booked, we can refer officiants, photographers, or videographers, we have worked with in the past. We start your personal process by meeting either in person, by phone, e-mail, skype, or facetime. We work very well from wherever you are to discuss locations and times. You will receive the draft of the ceremony, and simple contract by e-mail/fax for your review, and approval. This helps for long distance brides where a pre-consultation meeting may not be possible. In Florida the Bride and the Groom are responsible for applying together for the marriage license to hand to the officiant prior to the ceremony.

A simple wedding ceremony works well for elopements, or cruises and it is delivered with the same care and professionalism. Officially Yours” offers beautiful ceremony readings to celebrate your special day. Chose a 30 minute “Drive up service” on your way to your flight or cruise.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total package price will be required to hold your date. Unfortunately we cannot hold a date and time for you without a deposit. For your convenience, we do accept payments via PayPal and credit cards. If you will be mailing a check, we will hold the date for 3 business days, as long as we have a signed contract which is done by fax/email.

The balance is due the day of the ceremony unless other arrangements are made. Funds must be settled before the signing of the license.

If you included photography in your package, your beautiful, edited, high resolution Custom Photo CD will be mailed to you within 10-12 days after your wedding. Custom album design is available to compliment your day with beautiful Coffee Table Books. In some cases, the photo CD may be prepared for you on location within 30 minutes.

cheap lasik eye surgery chicago Florida Wedding tip #1
Here in South Florida we can not always expect sunshine. Here’s a tip for your South Florida Beach Wedding. The most important thing when planning a beach wedding (or any outdoor wedding) is planning an indoor alternative location. You won’t be nervous about the weather if you plan for the worst and hope for the best.

This is our most frequently asked question. Here in Florida we are blessed to have year round gorgeous weather. However, there is always the possibility of rain on the day of your event. With that said, we cannot stress enough the importance of a back up plan in the event of bad weather, particularly during the months of June through October which is know as our rainy season.

If you are having a reception, the ceremony can be moved there. If it will be in a restaurant, please make sure to check ahead of time with the staff to see if it would be alright to move the ceremony inside. If you are coming in from out of town to elope with few or no guests, then we can move the ceremony to your hotel room. Hotels will sometimes upgrade your room to a suite for the ceremony. Please check ahead of time with your hotel. If you are having your ceremony in one of the locations which offer shelter for rent, you are highly encouraged to reserve a shelter as a backup location.

Please note that backup location must be within 20 minutes of your ceremony site.

Q?What is the best time of day for a beach wedding?
A.

Late afternoon and sunset offer the fewest people on the beach, sweet light and the most comfortable temperature (especially in the summer months). Of course, we will book weddings at anytime.

Q?Is there a permit required for a beach wedding?
A.

Most of the beaches in Florida are public and will not require a permit. Some will have certain restrictions. If you will be staying at a hotel on the beach and want to have your ceremony behind the hotel, you will have to get permission from the hotel to do so. Some locations do have a site fee, it is the couples responsibility to obtain and pay for any permit or site fees.

Are these the only packages you offer and can we change anything? Your wedding, your rules. We will customize a package for you based on your needs. Contact us for adjustments to our current packages.

Q?Who takes the pictures?
A.

Our team of professional photographers and videographers all highly qualified with advanced professional equipment.

Q?What is the Sand Ceremony?
A.

This lovely ceremony is performed after the ring ceremony. The couple reaches down and takes a handful of sand from beneath them, and while a beautiful verse is read, they pour the sand into a glass. It can also be done with two bottles pre-filled with beach sand or colored sand (you pick the colors). This replaces the traditional “Unity Candle” ceremony and is more appropriate for outdoor beach weddings.

Q?Can we write our own vows?
A.

Yes, you may also add anything meaningful or have a friend or family member speak during the ceremony. Your ceremony will be exactly the way you want it.

Q?Can we get married without a license?
A.

No. This is against Florida Law. If you do not have a marriage license with you the day of your wedding, then we will perform a commitment ceremony instead.

Q?What if we are already married and want to do a wedding ceremony for our family and friends?
A.

Then we will perform a vow renewal service. We cannot perform a “mock” wedding ceremony, this is against Florida law.
